Mackenzie E. Roach, Esq.

Mackenzie has worked on a number of cultural heritage and art law cases. She worked on the restitution of a Pissarro painting looted by the Nazis during World War II  from the University of Oklahoma to a French Jewish family. Mackenzie has also worked on a number of cultural claims made by Native American tribes. 

More recently, her work also included the representation of non-profit organizations in the compliance and tax areas, as well as cryptocurrency and other fintech-oriented ventures involving litigation and lobbying matters. 

Mackenzie received her juris doctorate from University of Wisconsin Law School and her bachelor’s degree in business marketing from Edgewood College. Mackenzie graduated from law school with a pro bono distinction for her efforts in guardianship and elder law. Mackenzie also gained a significant background in art restitution attending the Tulane-Siena Institute for International Law, Cultural Heritage & the Arts.

In recent years, Mackenzie has also been involved with many philanthropic organizations. She has held positions on boards such as membership chair and president. As president of Junior Council, a non-profit organization benefiting the Pediatric & Adolescent HIV/AIDS Program at Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago, the organization raised over a quarter million dollars.
